Elizabeth Diller
Deemed “the world’s most influential architect,” Elizabeth Diller was named to Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in both 2009 and 2018. Founder of the firm Diller Scofidio + Renfro, Diller is known best for The High Line, an elevated park in New York City, and The Broad, a contemporary art museum in Los Angeles. Along with her firm, Diller continues to craft architectural marvels that are incredible, eye-catching sights.
Barbara Res
After obtaining a degree in electrical engineering from The City College of New York, Barbara Res went on to become the first woman to oversee a major New York construction site. Res is an arbitrator, mediator, licensed professional engineer, and attorney. She has over 40 years of experience taking on a wide variety of roles in the construction industry. Res is still a vocal supporter of the equal treatment of women on the construction site.
Christine Townley
Christine Townley was not content with designing and engineering dams and reservoirs. She is creating permanent change by promoting diversity in the construction industry. During her time as its Executive Director, Townley turned the Construction Youth Trust (CYT) into one of the leading charities in the construction industry. Her goal is to aid young workers in entering the construction industry. Townley continues to contribute to the industry by operating as an independent consultant.

Currently, women comprise only nine percent of the construction workforce.
